Seasonal depression is hitting me hard ❄️ Difficult to want to go outside in the blistering cold to get some sunshine vitamins when your body was made to be on the beach and dipping toes in the sea. Anyone else feeling it? ????

12 days into January!! I am really enjoying not only giving a new class for you to use daily but feeling the consistency again in creating. When I went full time on YouTube I would create everyday. I would upload as many classes as I could and it was not easy because my technology setup was terrible! I didn’t have any money. I had a hand-me-down computer that was super slow. It took half a day to export a finished edited video file and 50% of the time my computer would crash midway through the export. Id have to set an alarm to wake me up at 3am to check snd make sure my video was still trying to export or id have to redo it so it would be ready to upload on YouTube early morning. Instead of thinking “I can’t do this” I thought smarter. How can I continue giving quality yoga in the surplus that I want to. So I began creating shorter classes. And I was able to export more videos in less time because they were shorter. Then I realized that you all really enjoyed the short classes. You commented how the short classes motivate you to fit yoga into your days. And it really motivated me to dig deeper into what was missing in the online yoga space. And that was accessibility and inclusivity. I wanted to now create classes that supported people in ways they can’t find anywhere else. I wanted to try and fill the missing gap. I wanted to be a valuable member in the community. Not just another yoga class. So creating classes that weren’t intimidating and could be seen as “do-able” for busy people was priority. And it stuck. I was later able to invest in a proper setup. It doesn’t take a day to render videos anymore ???????? But uploading everyday has brought me back to that moment. It was a great time because even though it wasn’t the best setup and a huge headache, i remember how grateful i was to even have something to create with. You don’t need the fanciest things to start. And I still use my cell phone to film every class! Im not good with technology so even thinking of using an actual camera sends me into a panic haha All that to say, I love the feeling of creating everyday and giving you practices that support you in the ways you need most ♥️

We are 4 days into uploading new classes everyday this month and I have to give your props for showing UPPPP! My YouTube views are higher than normal, which means YOURE DOING THE THINGGGG. It tells me many of you are making it a priority to fill your cup and im so proud of you for showing up for yourselves. This weeks classes are low to the floor and relaxed but Tuesday I will be incorporating more strength, balance and mobility classes. For those who are new to the practice, I think this is a nice way to gently and slowly introduce yoga. Excited to spend time with you for yoga. Thank you for sharing your time with me. I wanted these classes to be an example that yoga doesn’t have to be intimidating or crazy elaborate. And I’m so happy you’ve all been enjoying them. - Love Bird

We are 1 week into 30 days of yoga! These classes are made to help support not only how your physical body feels throughout the day but your mental/emotional wellbeing as well. I hope this first week of classes have helped support you in the way that you needed most. I’m enjoying creating a lot lately and staying busy again. If you’re new here, I’m Bird or Birdie. I’m a vegan straight edge certified yoga teacher who encourages you to bring your mess so you can leave it behind once class is over. Let’s cry it out if you need to. I’m far from perfect. And I don’t expect you to be either. I’m not a typical depiction of a yoga teacher. I’m not a “yogi” I’m not a hippie, I swear, I cast spells, I’m outspoken, I have my own battles just like everyone else, I’m just a human who knows a thing or two about flowing through life using movement, breath and meditation to support the journey. I’m sharing what has helped me navigate. I want you to feel comfortable to just be you and enjoy no frills yoga. My classes aren’t about fitting you into poses. We are fitting the poses to our bodies. Thanks for starting this new year with me and sharing the gift of time ???? You are worthy ????
