Unfortunately, discomfort is part of life. _____ I tend to dislike cliche, feel good, hippy dippy, sayings but one that sticks with me is "Losing weight is hard, being overweight is hard. Choose your hard." ____ The concept of "choosing your hard" is something I think about often. It does a great job at putting things in perspective when your motivation fades. Ask yourself, why am I doing this? What's going to be harder in the long run? Am I doing what's easiest for me in the moment and sabotaging my future self? ___ For me, day to day life was SO HARD. I was constantly out of breath and sweating, self conscious and painfully aware of the fact that I was extremely uncomfortable in my body. __ So is weight loss/maintenance hard? Yes. Is it harder than being obese? No. #transformationtuesday #attackpack

This #transformationtuesday is one that I'm REALLY proud of. Ever since I started lifting, I wanted to achieve a certain "look". That "look" I wanted, is having a wide back that tapers down to my waist. I think I made it. ???????? _____ I'm so glad that throughout my weight loss journey I focused less and less on the numbers and more on the way I feel. Am I happy with my progress? Am I happy with my habits? Am I proud of what I did at the end of the day? ____ It doesn't matter if the answers are "yes" or "no". I know what I need to do without asking the for the scale's opinion. I know that if I want to lose weight, I need to focus on my eating habits. I know what is and isn't going to help me reach my goals. ___ So instead of having a "goal weight", set other goals for yourself. Have a goal "look". Have a goal "feeling". Have a goal for where you want yourself to be physically and mentally. Once you can establish those goals, you'll start to care less about the input you get from the scale. __ Sometimes you do everything right and the scale will plant a seed of doubt by telling you that maybe you didn't actually make progress you thought you did because your weight hasn't changed. Sometimes you do everything wrong and look to the scale for validation. "Well I didn't GAIN any weight, so even though I know I blew off my goals for my self, the scale said it was okay." Who can relate? ???? _ Trust YOURSELF don't let the numbers dictate how you think you're doing. YOUR ACTIONS ARE WHAT MATTER. I promise you that if you focus on making and maintaining better habits, you WILL make the progress you want to see for yourself. #weightloss #attackgoals

Went for a cute lil hike with this cutie, got photo bombed by a ????... ____ We're up in Portland visiting my big bro right now. I haven't been able to see him since Christmas 2019, so I'm supa stoked to finally be able to see him now that I'm all vaxxed up (Moderna Mob ????????). ___ One of my favorite things about coming up here is the scenery.
