Story time! 2024 started off great with businesses booming & my Zoie’s first birthday. In February 2024, my husband & I went to New Orleans & had an amazing time. We went to multiple restaurants to try their food. My chef husband had so much passion behind the food & as he was educating me, I realized he would be a great fit in this environment. I saw a light go off on top of his head. Something just felt right about us being in Louisiana. We came back home & prayed about it. In June 2024, my husband received an amazing opportunity to go to New Orleans as a chef at one of the best & oldest restaurants in NOLA, @commanderspalace . I didn’t want to pick up & move so suddenly so I encouraged him to go without us. After a week of him being gone, I had the urge to quit my full time job that I loved. I didn’t want my daughter to feel the absence of both her parent’s being gone. A week after that, I found out I was pregnant. Talk about timing. So much occurred while we were away from eachother. I tried my best to ensure my daughters talked to their father daily & showed them unconditional love so they never felt the void of daddy. I enjoyed quality time with family & close friends. My brother came home from prison! My baby took her first flight & did amazing. I enjoyed my solitude but I was definitely missing my hubby. Some days were extremely difficult. Other days were pure bliss. This pregnancy has been hard, painful & tiring yet so rewarding & loving. Taking care of a toddler while pregnant is not for the weak!!! My husband & I made this huge sacrifice for our family & our future & being away from eachother during a time we both felt we needed eachother the most. To those that genuinely supported us & loved on us while going through this journey, THANK YOU! I’m so beyond grateful for our village. It’s been 7 long months without my husband. With all that being said, WE DID IT & now HE’S BACK & ready to show the world what he has learned. I’m so proud of you babe!!! We ready to eat eat ????
