Seasonal days out have become the four of us. Swipe for how it used to be and a little video of today. I knew it was going to happen one day… it’s like they say, you don’t know when it will be the last time you carry your child until you notice one day you are not carrying them anymore. We have had a weekend filled with autumnal magic mixed in with giving lifts to the smaller boys big brothers and picking up their friends to drop at train stations. How life has changed but I love to see them in this new season. I don’t think I slept at home one weekend from the age of 14 ???? so i get it, just wish they would text back a little more ???? #motheroffiveboys #autumn We hunted out the best pumpkins ???? even got some for the older boys ???? @dartsfarm then headed to ikea to get yet more storage….

So we moved house ???? and it gave me the opportunity to create a new restful space (definitely need it with 5 boys ????) I knew I wanted to make my new space calm and simple. Im on a mission to calm my nervous system, feel less stress ???????? I often find less is more when it comes to home decor and my head space. Also I often study in my room so I don’t like too many distractions. What a difference a week makes ???? I cannot tell you how much I love having Hunter off. I miss the twins a lot but they enjoy their school and I’m a little chaotic at the moment giving lifts to the older two and studying a degree in psychology. Yes I’m studying at 40… but who says you can’t switch up your life later on, there is no rule book right ????????♀️. I sometimes think, the older two didn’t go through much of school and they are both in school and college now smashing it, I can’t believe how well they are doing to be honest. I miss those years of us all being together but I’m glad we had them. Now we are in a new season where my main job is taxi driver, which i clearly remember my dad joking about when I was a teen. I remember thinking he was dramatic, but he wasn’t ???? I do feel like an unpaid taxi driver. The seasons change so fast. I am soaking up the now, while they are all still at home and they still text me back (mostly) to let me know when they will be back for dinner ???? Sometimes dark chocolate can be over powering but with the dates and pistachio cream it tastes really subtle. Hunter is pistachio cream obsessed so I’ve been making him these little snacks which he loves. Anything and pistachio over here right now. He’s obviously been making the Dubai chocolate bars but this is a possibly slightly healthier little twist on the chocolate bar version ????

Can food really heal you? I’ve had anemia for over a year, likely longer but that’s when i had bloods done. I’m the kind of person to not cook for myself and just grab something on the go, so I’m making a real effort to try and heal myself with food. We have had a week of illness I’ve here.. so Christmas isn’t making an appearance yet in our home….if I’m honest, im more of a December Christmas person ❄️ We have had the fire going and hot chocolates on repeat. I used to be obsessed with 4pm darkness as I kid, I loved it, now I feel like there aren’t enough daylight hours in the day.
