Ah, the nightmare fuel that is the mommy midsection. Admittedly, I'd like my 19 year old midsection back, but after a kid, abdominal surgeries, and life, that isn't happening. I have a partially detached wall and substantial stretch marks, but what I can control, to some degree, is the abdominal fat deposits through a better diet (and as much as I hate it, actual cardio). With everything in my life, I'm focused first on my family, secondarily on everything else, but the truth is, health goals overlap. My dad had his first heart attack in his 50s in spite of being very active. I've already had a round with cancer myself. A physical reminder that I'm moving farther away death and suffering is nice.
