It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of James A. Washington, who was our President and General Manager. James was a highly respected communications practitioner who received the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) Legacy Award in 2019 for his significant contributions to the industry. He actively participated in various boards and committees in Dallas, Texas, and beyond, and his exceptional community service received numerous accolades and recognitions. James was a highly skilled individual with expertise in public relations, corporate communications, advertising, ethnic marketing, broadcast and print news, and electronic publishing. His passing has left us with a sense of loss that cannot be filled. We express our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues and offer our unwavering support during this challenging time. We share in your sorrow and grief and honor James’ legacy as an exceptional person who touched many lives. May his soul rest in peace.
