Lokrum island, a beautiful forested nature reserve just off the shores of Dubrovnik. The peacocks wail constantly and the air is laced with the scent of orange blossom. It was easy to escape all the other people here to it felt amazingly deserted on much of the tiny island. You can see the island on the final photo taken from Dubrovnik, and the highest point where the Fort Royal is and where I took the 3rd photo from. All the details of how we got there are on my story highlight from the trip, and I’d recommend this so much! We loved it ????⛴️

The bright light, shimmering streets, and crystal clear waters of Dubrovnik ???????? The first of a few posts to come from our trip. I came away thinking I hadn’t got any good photos but now I have dozens to post and video still to look at, so I’d better get posting! ~ Red roof tops and you can almost see how steep the city is ~ tiny people and their shadows ~ a shimmering sea and the island of Lokrum to the right ~ one of my favourite things to photograph. But that clear water and cloud reflection too ???????? ~ pastel bed sheets ~ 44 boats ~ locals, lamps and laundry ~ the whole shebang ~ Dubrovnik castle and the stunning clear waters ???? Standing under the most beautiful magnolia tree in town, perhaps on it’s most beautiful day ???????? I actually came back two days on the trot because I wasn’t happy with the light on the first day. I’m glad I did because it was just perfect this morning ☺️ The magnolia seems to be finished in London already, but here there are just perfect ???????? Happy April everyone! ????????

Classic NYC on a chilly, bright spring morning 5 years ago. I love how there’s a story in each photo - snippets of someone else’s life. I wonder where they all are now ☺️ Photos are amazing really aren’t they! Hahah that’s my thought for the day. We had a very successful first camera club meeting this week. There really is nothing quite like these huge London houses as a backdrop to magnolia and cherry blossom. I think this will all be in bloom in the next week or two! Digging some old faithfuls out (plus a few I’ve never posted before) to try and combat the self doubt and posting fear ???? Why oh why are we all like this ???? Have a lovely week folks!
