Wintry light over Arlington Row in Bibury ✨❄️
I have so many photos I don’t know where to start.. so I’ll start at the beginning with my first stop of the day! Lacock and Castle Combe to come.. then back to France ☺️
These are my first photos taken with my new camera and lens, I was nervous they would come out ok as it’s hard to really tell on the back of the camera, but all good! I’m super chuffed and glad I went for it. #nikonz6
These were taken last week on a shoot for @cotswoldco ????????
Long live frosty mornings!
I hope you’re all having a good week ????

This is one of my favourite photos that I took in 2021 ????
There’s a lot I don’t talk about here, mostly because I feel it’s not just my story to tell, but a photo like this represents an awful lot for me. I can tell myself - look how far we came ????
Here’s to sharing more small moments that bring joy in 2022. Probably pets, DIY and cake, but hopefully some more of our journey too, wherever it may take us.
Thanks for being here, and from the bottom of my heart I hope 2022 is kind to you all. Happy new year ❤️xx

Who would fancy a stroll up here, and stop for fika at the top? ????????☕️????????????‍♀️
A few photos from beautiful festive Stockholm, taken in December 2019. I’ve never posted most of these before as I went really close to Christmas and then ended up having an emergency op a couple of days after getting back! And last year was… well last year :/
So here they are, seeing the light of day at last!
I love the little leaning Christmas trees and minimal lights, and I had Gamla Stan almost to myself early on a Sunday morning ????
I hope you guys are ok, what a weird week. I’m sure we’re all feeling the nerves standing over those lateral flow tests ????
Our plans this week are being cancelled left right and centre, but there’s mince pies in the oven and Harry Potter going on soon, so we’re doing ok ❤️
Take care folks x

ad Nearly all of my photos over the last few years have been taken with my beloved Nikon D850. I trust that camera completely and adore it, but on recent trips I’ve been getting fed up with lugging the weight around. On my most recent trip to Rye I left it in the car and missed a beautiful sky over this hill... luckily I got to go back the next day and the shot worked out! On long walks and beach trips with the kids though I've been finding it toooo heavy and weighing me down too much. I’m not ready to say goodbye to my D850 yet, but I have been more and more tempted to try a mirrorless camera and Rye was the decider for me.
So I’ve finally taken the plunge! I’ve long been an advocate for second hand gear and always advise people to consider it. You can get so much more for your money and most of my lenses have been bought second hand over the years.
According to @MPBcom many of us have kit we haven’t used for two years, which got me thinking! I had a second DSRL body - a Nikon D810 (as seen in the second picture) and two lenses all of which I rarely used. I got a quote for them on MPB.com and realised I could manage a straight swap for a Nikon Z6, a 40mm f2 (third pic - say hello ????) and an adaptor to use my other Nikon lenses with. I’m so chuffed that I’ve finally taken the plunge, and now I’m ready to plan our next adventure ????
Do you have anything in your kit bag that you don’t really use? Either to free up some cash or change gear for something more useful to you, either way it’s a really simple and speedy process ????

Still no tree here as the kids have been too poorly all week to go and get one, but I did get the other decs out, and honestly these little festive additions have been helping a lot ????????☺️
I bought my kids each the Swedish Tomte (bottom shelf) while in Stockholm two years ago, and the white Dala horse to keep my very old red horse company. The little Danish Nisse on the second shelf is probably older than me and is very special ☺️
It’s funny how it’s like seeing old friends getting these guys out.
I hope you have fun planned for the weekend? Is your tree up yet?????I’m hoping we’ll finally get ours tomorrow!

These horses live in a field that I pass on the way to the gym and had a lovely foal with them all spring and summer, although I don’t know which is mum as they always hung out in a three, the grown ups diligently standing over the foal while he slept in the mornings ????. It’s the first time I’ve actually brought my camera to them although I’ve stopped for a chat and a scratch many times. They are so sweet.. swipe to see her little black ears and that mark on her top lip ????, and her beautiful pal!
These were taken a week ago when we had a dusting of snow ☃️ far preferable to the lashing rain and wind tonight!
Have a cosy one xx

ad It feels like a bit of a dream now that a few weeks ago we hopped on the Ferry and got to explore this beautiful coastline of Northern France! The crossing from Dover to Calais with @poferries is only 90 minutes, just long enough to get lunch, coffee and pastries in one of the cafes, check out the duty free shop, and watch the white cliffs of Dover disappear from view from the deck. Travelling by ferry felt so straightforward and stress free, especially with the pandemic it was great to be in the comfort of our own car, with the freedom to go wherever we fancied once we got to France!
We found so many beautiful coastal towns along the Côte d'Opale and Normandy coastline, too many for one trip but hopefully we'll go again soon!
