I never imagined that my passport would be so useless. All I had to do was book a flight and I was off to foreign cities all over the world. I could go wherever I wanted. ( Almost. ) For the last 3 years I have been able to book a flight and go wherever I wanted, when I wanted to. That was the life I had created for myself. 12 months ago today was the last time I stepped into an airport. I never imagined that borders would ever be closed to me and my Canadian passport. 2020 ( and 2021 ) has brought so much sadness and so much death, and I urge you, do not put off those travel dreams on the bet that you can do them later.
