???? Iceland’s famous black sand beach no longer looks like this. I was sad to hear how recent winter storms, unusual winds and powerful ocean currents have changed Reynisfjara beach as we knew it. The areas we walked on have disappeared almost entirely over the last several weeks. While nature is always evolving, sometimes it happens much more rapidly. Drastic changes like this makes photography feel a little more special and our memories a little more precious. These photos are from my first visit to this inspiring location back in August 2018 with @tommylundberg and @waterproject. I remember being blown away by this dramatic coastline– We spent hours exploring the unique basalt columns and caves. I’m grateful to have experienced this beach a few times before the forces of nature reshaped it forever. While erosion will continue to affect access and alter how we are allowed to enjoy it, Reynisfjara will always will be one of those powerful places that makes you feel alive. Have you been here?

Sunrise magic over the ancient pyramids of Teotihuacan ✨ While everyone else took photos & selfies on their phones, I pulled out my @Insta360 X5 on the invisible selfie stick for a few quick clips to capture the experience my way. I love being able to stay present in the moment while still creating dynamic video with minimal effort & a lightweight camera setup. If Mexico City is on your bucket list, I highly recommend doing a hot air balloon excursion for sunrise! 2016: Forced Perspective Edition ????????✨ Looking back at my photography journey with a series of posts highlighting my favorite work from 10 years ago and the music I was listening to. This 3rd throwback set is all about #ASenseOfPerspective. Back then, I was mostly shooting on my iPhone and had started to develop a visual style that I became known and hired for. I’ve been obsessed with magic since I was a little boy, so there’s no surprise that I loved making forced perspective photos. Golden hour magic at Venice Beach ???????????? Glowing palm trees, smiling faces, long shadows and classic California skies at one of the best places to catch sunset in Los Angeles. Super excited to be kicking off a month of traveling! The adventure begins Saturday when I head to the Galápagos Islands for a week long group trip that I’m hosting. From there, I head to the Maldives for 2.5 weeks in paradise with a crew of incredible creators.
