There, I said it...apparently it’s a conspiracy to naturally boost your immune system in 2020 but I’ll be here speaking the truth ????✌????
Packed with leafy greens and anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory spices like ginger and turmeric, as well as protein (in the form of beans) this soup really does have souper powers!!! 
I have amended the recipe by adding 2 very large handfuls of almonds since these healthy fats help the body to absorb nutrients from the other ingredients, not to mention making the soup extra thick and creamy ????????????????????????

I can’t believe I forgot about this little beaut of a recipe until I was revisiting my website recently.
This one is great to make with little ones. Just make sure you chop up the nuts really small. I find the best way to get kids to try new things is to involve them in the cooking process. This ignites their curiosity and they feel more connected to the food.
My pre-schooler loves to mush it all up in the bowl, touching the different textures with her hands and squidging it into balls. What’s best is they’re entertained and having fun whilst you’ve made yourself and them something delicious to eat ???? Perfect for snacks and breakfast! (Recipe link in bio)

????✨????✨????HOW I TREAT MY DAUGHTER’S SILENT REFLUX NATURALLY ????✨????✨????
Ever since the age of 6 months my little one has suffered from silent reflux at night time, sometimes so severe we’ve barely got any sleep. I remember the excruciating helplessness watching her writhe in pain arching her back with so much strength she nearly ended up on the floor whilst I was holding her????
It’s a commonly held belief that reflux is always caused by too much acid in the stomach but often there’s actually not enough acid, potentially making anti-acid medication more harmful in the long run. 
Lila is now 3.5 years old. She still suffers although not as severely and we’ve had some periods when there’s been no symptoms at all ???????? I’m sharing this story and what’s worked well for us in the hope that it may help others. However, please remember we all have bio-individuality regarding food so what works for one, may not work for everyone. 
- Try to cut out gluten and dairy. These foods can be very inflammatory, particularly for those already experiencing digestion issues.
- Nourish with organic, whole foods cooked freshly. Did it come from the land or the sea...no? Ok, bye! ???? 
- Eat probiotic rich food (fermented if possible) to help balance the friendly bacteria in the gut. Lila loves probiotic coconut yoghurt @culinayogurt 
- Try to cut out refined, processed sugar which can be very inflammatory. Lila has such a sweet tooth but gets her fix from medjool dates, maple syrup, honey & raisins. For sweet treat recipes see fitfoodcollective.com
- Add apple ???? cider vinegar to smoothies. This helps to replenish the digestive tract with more acid. It’s pretty strong but adding 1 tsp to a smoothie full of banana and mangoes masks the taste and Lila is more than happy ???? 
- Keep a food diary to identify if particular foods are causing a problem. Common culprits are tomatoes, citrus foods, onions, alcohol, sodas, spicy food, greasy foods, chocolate and caffeinated beverages but any different foods could be affecting you as we all have a unique bioindividual way of assimilating and digesting. I recently deleted the Instagram app for just over a week and it did me the world of good. With the last 6 months being so turbulent, I’ve found myself scrolling on here more often than before. And let’s face it, these things are made to be addictive on purpose.
After taking some time out (and taking my power back) I had more motivation to do more of what I know to be important for my health and well-being...
- Being more present at home with my loved ones ???? We need to feel connection now more than ever. So important for our health!
- More exercise
- Spending more time in the kitchen which is my passion
- More mediation leading to clearer thoughts
I highly recommend taking some time out of these little squares. We all need reminding that what we see on social media isn’t real. Spending more time away from phones gives us those little nudges to live in the present moment more. The world feels very intense right now so looking after our mental well-being is the one of the best things we can do for immune system and overall health ????????????????????????
P.S it also helps to be groped from time to time ????????????
